Understanding the Neurodivergent Brain –

Coventry Multi-Agency Event

20th January 2026, 10.30 am–2:30 pm • Bethel Church, Spon End

Emotional Regulation • Dopamine • Executive Function • Pathways Into Services

Join us for a Coventry-wide multi-agency event bringing together services that support children, young people, adults and families. This is an opportunity to understand how differences in emotional regulation, dopamine, and executive functioning affect real-life outcomes — including school breakdowns, mental health struggles, risky behaviours, addiction, offending, and entry into care.

During the session, Sarah-Jane will:

  • Share how the neurodivergent brain processes emotion, stress, motivation and decision-making

  • Explain why autistic and ADHD individuals often come into contact with services such as Early Help, social care, CAMHS, youth justice, drug and alcohol support, and homelessness teams

  • Outline the support The Autism & ADHD Advocates CIC can offer to families and professionals

  • Discuss referral options, collaboration opportunities, and ways to work together to improve outcomes across Coventry

This event is designed to strengthen multi-agency partnerships, improve understanding across sectors, and ensure families receive the right support at the right time.
