SEN Parent Session: Understanding Executive Functioning, Sensory Processing and Learning

  • Park Edge Family Hub Roseberry Avenue Coventry, England, CV2 United Kingdom (map)

Tuesday 30 June 2026
Park Edge Family Hub, Coventry

This free SEN parent/carer session will explore how executive functioning skills and sensory processing can impact a child or young person’s learning, behaviour and everyday experiences.

We will discuss executive functioning skills such as attention, working memory, starting tasks, organisation and emotional regulation, alongside sensory processing difficulties such as becoming overwhelmed by noise, movement, touch or busy environments.

Parents and carers will gain a clearer understanding of why a child with SEN may find learning difficult, appear distracted, avoid tasks, become overwhelmed or struggle to manage in a classroom environment.

This session is suitable for parents and carers of children and young people with SEN, including autism and ADHD, whether they have a diagnosis or are still awaiting assessment.
