SEN Parent Session: Understanding Executive Functioning, Sensory Processing and Learning

  • woodside family hub Upper Ride Coventry, England, CV3 3GL United Kingdom (map)

This free family support session is for parents and carers of children and young people with SEN, autism or ADHD.

The session gives families a relaxed space to talk, ask questions and learn more about the different areas that can affect daily life, including behaviour, emotions, communication, sensory needs, executive functioning, school difficulties and everyday routines.

Each session is shaped around the needs of the families who attend, so the discussion may cover different topics depending on what parents and carers want support with. The aim is to help families better understand what may be happening underneath the behaviour and give practical ideas that can be used at home, in school and in the community.

This is not a formal training session. It is a supportive space for parents and carers to feel listened to, share experiences and gain a better understanding of SEN, autism and ADHD.

The session is suitable for families with a diagnosis, those waiting for assessment, or those who are beginning to recognise that their child may need additional support.

Delivered by The Autism & ADHD Advocates CIC.
