STRUCTURE OF INTELLECT (SOI) LEARNING PROFILE ASSESSMENTS.

  • Children working together at desks in a classroom

    School-Aged Children

Understanding how your child learns, not just how they perform at school.

The SOI Learning Profile Assessment explores 26 different learning abilities, identifying a child's strengths and areas that may need further development.

    The assessment can help explain:

    • Why a child excels in some subjects but struggles in others.

    • How they process, understand and remember information.

    • What may be making reading, spelling, mathematics or classroom learning difficult.

    • How parents and teachers can better support their learning.

The aim is to understand the child's individual learning profile and identify practical ways to help them develop their abilities and build confidence.

  • Students discussing their work together in a classroom

    Teenagers & College Students

Discover your strengths and explore where they could take you.

Choosing subjects, courses or a future career can be difficult when you don't fully understand your own abilities.

The SOI Learning Profile Assessment helps you:

    • Identify your natural learning strengths and abilities.

    • Understand how you think, learn and solve problems.

    • Recognise abilities that could benefit from further development.

    • Make more informed choices about college, university, apprenticeships and potential career pathways.

Understanding your abilities can help you choose a direction that suits your strengths, interests and potential.

From understanding to practical support

Structured activities explore learning abilities. We explain the findings in a feedback session and discuss practical next steps. Your report can support conversations with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.

A profile, not a diagnosis

SOI does not diagnose dyslexia, autism, ADHD or other neurodevelopmental conditions. It does not replace an educational psychology or specialist learning-difficulties assessment. Findings are considered alongside everyday learning and other relevant information.
