Pathways Family Hub | Friday 27th March

Friday 27th March | 9:30am – 11:30am

This workshop is designed for parents and carers who are supporting a child experiencing challenges with emotional regulation, anxiety, sensory overwhelm, attention difficulties, or executive functioning.

Many children are described as “challenging” or “difficult,” but behaviour is often a signal of unmet needs. When we understand what is happening underneath the surface — whether linked to ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, or developmental delays in executive functioning — we can respond differently and more effectively.

During this session, we will explore:

  • Emotional regulation and why some children struggle to self-manage

  • Executive functioning and its impact on daily life

  • Sensory processing differences and overload

  • Anxiety, masking and burnout

  • Why traditional behaviour management approaches often fail

  • The importance of early recognition and proactive support

This is a supportive, non-judgemental space for parents to gain clarity, ask questions and leave with practical understanding they can begin using straight away.

Whether your child has a diagnosis, is on a waiting list, or you simply feel something isn’t quite fitting, you are welcome.

Delivered by Sarah-Jane McGarry
